Jag har köpt på Ebay, vänder mig nu direkt till den säljaren om jag behöver mer. Det är bra att det finns, men man ska inte gödsla med medicin. Jag antar att även butikerna som har troffar kör med medicin om de är sjuka, octozin har väl de flesta välsorterade butikerna (typ Aquariumstockholm & Akvarielagret) . Vad jag vet så finns det ingen bättre medicin mot buken.
Självklart så ska man vara försiktig med antibiotika.

Det här låter ju fantastiskt! Kan du beskriva mekanismerna lite mer detaljerat? Jag förstår inte varför fiskar, framförallt inte sötvattensfiskar, skulle tjäna på att äta något som sägs "ta bort uric acid" (vad menar du med ta bort?), när de ändå utsöndrar kväveföreningar som ammoniak? På vilket sätt verkar gurka som prebiotika, eller vad syftar du på?

Om gurka är så fantastikt är det konstigt att inte fisk-foder industrin har annamat det i större skala?

"...varför fiskar skulle tjäna på...ta bort?" Har ingen aning. Det ar vad gurka gör hos dig o mig. Mina fiskar kryar till som fan av gurka o salld.
"På vilket sätt verkar gurka som prebiotika" Det gör den antagligen inte annat at forebyggande syfte som hos dig o mig. Låt dom motbevisa.

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

The digestive system of fish is similar to the digestive tract of other animals. The stomach and intestines contain submucosal eosinophilic granular cells. The function of these cells is unknown. Fish (some) have digestive enzyme production in the liver and pancreas. It is not possible to divide the intestine into large and small intestine.

The liver does not have the typical lobular architecture that is present in mammals. In many species of fish there are areas of exocrine pancreas (hepatopancreas) that are present near the small veins off the hepatic portal vein. The pancreas is scattered in the mesentery, primarily near the pylorus.

RETICULOENDOTHELIAL SYSTEM

Fish do not have lymph nodes. Phagocytic cells are present in the endothelial lining of the atrium of the heart and in the gill lamella. There are no phagocytic cells (Kupffer cells) in the liver. Melanomacrophage centers are present in the liver, kidney and spleen. Melanomacrophage centers increase in number during disease or stress.

Fish have the ability to produce specific immunoglobulins (IgM only) and have both delayed and immediate hypersensitivity. Fish have the ability to produce virus neutralizing, agglutinating, and precipitating antibodies. Both B and T lymphocytes are present.

URINARY SYSTEM

The kidneys of fish develop from the pronephros and mesonephros. The function of the kidney is osmoregulation. In freshwater fish, the kidney saves ions and excretes water. The majority of nitrogenous waste is excreted through the gills. The other function of the kidney is hematopoiesis with hematopoietic tissue located in the interstitium of the kidney. This function is primarily in the anterior kidney but can be found throughout the entire kidney.

Jag vill hävda helt ovetenskapligt att vi kan fa in en bit gurka och salladsblad med bra resultat. En mupp i vit rock i ett labb eller gurka? Jag valjer som mina fiskar - gurka!
